Introducing primary titanium for aerospace and defense. 

Commissioned in 1998 as the world's largest electron beam cold hearth furnace, ATI Richland Operations in Washington specializes in melting titanium and titanium alloys to meet our customers' extraordinary requirements, serving aerospace, defense and industrial markets. 

Through investment in new, state-of-the-art assets, ATI will essentially double the capacity of Richland Operations, upgrading its capabilities to produce premium quality titanium. The expansion adds a second Electron Beam (EB) hearth furnace and Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR) capability. ​

ATI​ announced its Richland, Washington operations as the location of its previously announced titanium melting expansion through investment in new, state-of-the-art assets. The expansion will increase ATI's production of aerospace and defense-grade titanium by approximately 35% over the 2022 baseline levels, helping to meet strong titanium demand. The expansion is projected to be online by the end of 2024, with product qualifications occurring in 2025. Read more.​
